Growing up was fun in the 70’s and the cartoons that were on the TV at the time were absolute classics. Cartoons like Hong Kong Phooey, Captain Cave Man, Catch the Pigeon, Scooby Doo and Top Cat, the list could go on. But, one of my favourites was The Hair Bear Bunch, a group of bears who’s leader was the afroed, fast-talking Hair Bear, who had the biggest and best hair piece in town. Now… this is where cartoon hair styles belong, in the cartoons. Not actually on peoples heads… just take a look at these fellas! What possesses people to style their hair into the most ridiculous shapes! People shaving their heads with bits missing, bizarre colour schemes and sculpting their hair into a cap shape. What’s all that about? But I couldn’t help myself being drawn to Gary Spivey, Psychic Medium/Healer’s hair style as it bizarrely reminded me of my childhood and The hair Bear Bunch. Or it could just be, he reminds me of a giant cotton wool bud! Majestic Spivey, majestic.
