Wow… what tremendous weather the month of May has brought us. The first glimpse of a few rays gets us stripping off, BBQs raging, paddling pools out, sunburns that you could fry an egg on and people complaining it’s ‘too hot’, (eh, what’s all that about?). Too hot? Hopefully the month of June brings us many more golden rays so we can tell people we’ve been somewhere exotic from around the world, when actually we’ve been sitting in our back garden! Double Whammy!

Unfortunately this month saw two of the North East teams relegated from the Premiership, with only Sunderland AFC managing to survive the chop by the skin of their teeth. There has been a lot of celebration and also heartache in our office, as half of our team are either mackems or mags, with one Red Devil sitting pretty at the top of the tree. Jokes have been flying around the office like: ‘What was the last ship to leave the Tyne? The Premier Ship’ and ‘What’s The Difference between Newcastle and Alan Shearer? Answer: Shearer will be on ‘Match of the Day’. Let’s hope next season Newcastle and Middlesbrough both have bounce-back-ability and come straight back up so the derbies can become a fixture to look forward too once again. Mr Hoppy

It’s here again… it’s Easter, hurrah! It’s that time of year when we all break up for a few days, eat an extra large cod from the chip shop (knowing we have done our bit) and maybe some mushy peas with lots of bread and butter whilst stuffing our faces with major amounts of chocolate for afters. Cholesterol heaven… not!. It’s the time of year when we tell the children that Jesus rose from the dead, the easter bunny has been and roll eggs down hills. It’s the time of year you relax, paint silly faces on hard boiled eggs, watch Willy Wonka and his chocolate carry on, for the 50th time on TV and drink far too much alcohol. Whilst reading up about easter, I came across this easter song which I will leave you to enjoy and think about over the jollies… and it goes something like this… Here comes Peter Cottontail, Hoppin’ down the bunny trail, Hippity hoppity, Easter’s on its way! Countdown to Christmas

It’s official… we can now start the Christmas countdown. We hope you all enjoyed opening ‘door number one’ on your advent calendar this morning. We’d love to hear what you all found… was it a wise man, a donkey or Cheryl Cole?? December breakfasts are delightful though!
